Catholic Education
I believe publicly funded Catholic education is a precious gift that enriches our communities and helps students reach their full God-given potential. It nurtures the whole person—mind, body, heart and soul—while fostering a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.
I believe our Catholic schools should be vibrant, faith-filled communities where Scripture, the sacraments, Catholic teaching and strong parish partnerships inspire students every day. Together, we can nurture environments where faith and learning flourish, academic excellence is strengthened by service, and knowledge is guided by wisdom and compassion.
“Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and favor before God and man.”Luke 2:52
A vision of education that forms the whole person.
“Let the children come to me.”Matthew 19:14
A reminder that Christ belongs at the centre of Catholic schools.
“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.”John 13:34
The standard for a faithful, safe and welcoming school community.
The platform
Every child deserves a Catholic education that prepares them to succeed academically and to grow in faith, character and service.
I will work to keep our schools rooted in Scripture and Tradition through a rich sacramental and liturgical life, reading the lives of the saints, formation in the Church’s magisterial teaching—especially Catholic Social Teaching—works of mercy, strong parish relationships and robust faith formation for students and staff.
I will champion safe, supportive and orderly schools where students can learn, teachers can teach and families feel confident in their children’s education. Through proactive prevention, strong leadership and meaningful community partnerships, we can foster school environments that promote well-being.
Our Catholic schools should inspire every student to pursue excellence and realize their God-given potential. I will support strong achievement in literacy, numeracy and science while promoting diverse pathways to university, college, apprenticeships, skilled trades and meaningful careers, helping every student find a path to success.
As your Catholic school trustee, I will advocate for strong, student-focused supports that promote inclusion, achievement and well-being. This includes investing in special education programs, educational assistants, specialized teachers and early intervention services so that every student has the opportunity to flourish and reach their God-given potential.
Great schools are built through strong partnerships. I will bring parents, educators, staff, parishes, community leaders and government together to support student success, secure the resources our schools deserve and ensure every dollar contributes to enriching learning opportunities for our children.
Parents should be treated as partners, not customers. Strengthen communication, school councils and meaningful parent input on funding priorities, special education, IEPs, transportation and school safety.
Earn families’ confidence through schools that are safe, faith-filled, academically excellent, well-supported and responsibly managed. Promote enrolment and plan carefully for changing demographics, new development and school capacity.
Use proven educational and prevention programs offered by police, parishes and local charities. Work constructively with the Ontario government and all education partners to secure sustainable funding for student needs.
Rooted in Brampton
As a husband and father of two, I share the hopes of parents across Brampton for a quality education that helps our children thrive in schools that are safe, faith-filled and committed to their growth.
As a graduate of DPCDSB, I experienced firsthand what excellent Catholic education can be. At Cardinal Leger, I saw what is possible when dedicated staff, administrators and teachers work in harmony with parents and pastors to care for students and foster their growth.
St. Mary’s Parish has been central to my Catholic life. I received sacraments there and later worked and volunteered in the parish. I have also served as a Brother Knight of Columbus and volunteered with Totus Tuus, parish youth groups, Ukrainian refugee support and The Knights Table.
My experience also includes a DPCDSB social justice service project in Nicaragua and a DPCDSB–YMCA cultural exchange with the Inuit community of Pond Inlet, Nunavut—opportunities to learn through service and respectful cultural exchange.
I hold a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.). As a university lecturer and tutor, I have had the privilege of teaching Catholic theology and handing on the living tradition of the Church—a tradition that gives life to both soul and body. Running a business serving Brampton and Wellington also taught me to listen carefully, manage resources responsibly and remain accountable for results.
If elected as trustee, I promise to protect and promote these values because they are essential to our children’s future. I will work for safe schools and an education that prepares young people for their vocations, workplaces and lives of service.
It is not with fear, but with hope and confidence, that I seek to serve as your Catholic school trustee—and to work with families, educators and parishes for the future of our children.
